Zella Marie Keen

Zella Marie Keen, 65, of Gassaway, passed away on April 15, 2018 due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

She was born September 10, 1952 to the late Loring Carte and Mamie Lou Gill Carte.  Also preceding her in death were three brothers, two sisters, and grandson, James Christopher Haley.

With a Christian heart, Zella was a helping hand to everyone. She was a very positive person and loved life. She loved her grandchildren. Gardening and baking were her hobbies and she made the best apple pies from scratch.

Zella is survived by son, Bradley (Becky) Adkins of Dog Run, WV; daughters, Valerie Adkins of Dog Run, WV, Sonya (Aaron) Williams also of Dog Run, WV, Misty Dawn (Clayton) Windon of Iron Station, NC, and Tonya Alisa Haley of Gassaway; sisters, Lorraine Snyder, Darlene Jackson, and Dorothy Arlene McMillion. She is also survived by grandchildren, Courtney (Skyler) Sattler, Ryan Adkins, Tyler (Morgan) Williams, Marissa Williams, Landon Williams, Alexis Haley, Ethan Haley, Jocelyn Haley, Cheyenne Windon, and Zack Windon; great-grandchildren, Levi Williams and Skyler Sattler.

A funeral service was held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with Pastor Kenneth Adkins officiating.  Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery, Harrison, WV.
