“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:6-7

Richard “Rick” Owen Welch, 57, of Maysel, WV left his earthly body for his eternal home in Heaven on October 30, 2017. Born in Gassaway, WV, on January 24, 1960 to the late James Runion and Imogene Runion of Maysel. He is proceeded in death by his brother and sister-in-law
Clemon and Helen Welch. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 18 years, Traci. Sons Brian Welch, Jason (Jessica) Welch, Frametown, WV, Tyler (Ashleigh) Reedy, of Maysel, WV and his daughter Danielle (Ryan) West, Clay, WV. Grandchildren, Jaden Starcher, Jason Cummings, Davis Tori, Merissa and Riley Welch, Emily and David West. Sisters Debra (Logan) Rhodes, Janet (Billy) Hays, Leona McCallister, Jan (Ross) Hunt, and brother Tony (Sam) Welch. Along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Special camping and fishing buddies Bill Runion and Danny Woods.

At Rick’s request, his body will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. In his memory, please just be kind to one another. He always just tried to be nice to people even those who did him wrong. Just be kind. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cleveland Clinic for all they done for our family. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26.
