Victoria Nicole Dorsey has been appointed by Director of West Virginia Division of Forestry, C. Randy Dye, to be a princess in the 77th Mountain State Forest Festival. She is the daughter of Michael and Mary Beth Dorsey of Maysel. She has one sister, Adrien, and is the granddaughter of Robert and Nancy Dorsey, also of Maysel, and John and Leona Barnhouse of Procious.
The Mountain State Forest Festival is one of the largest and oldest festivals in the state of West Virginia and is considered a major homecoming for those individuals who previously lived in the Elkins area. The festival is being held September 28 – October 6, 2013.
Victoria is a graduate of Clay County High School with the class of 2013, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Circle of Friends, and Student Council, was senior class princess, FFA secretary and graduated in the Top 10 percent of her class. Victoria will be attending Fairmont State University this fall, studying nursing and wishes to ultimately attain a bachelor’s degree. She aspires to become a nurse anesthetist.
