Registration for the quilt and needlework show will be September 16, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Jubilee Mountain Church at 321 Main Street, Clay, West Virginia. Entries must be presented at this time.
The quilt categories are: handmade, hand a machine made, machine made, stamped, and baby. Quilts entered in these categories will be judged. Ribbons and premiums will be awarded for Best of Show, Queen’s Choice, and People’s Choice; first place in each category.
An additional category is heritage. These entries will not be judged but can be voted on for the People’s Choice Award. This category includes any quilt previously entered in the Golden Delicious Festival Quilt and Needlework Show and Treasure and much loved family. Quilts will be accepted from present and previous Clay county residents.
Needlework categories are: cross-stitch, embroidery, knitting, crochet, and miscellaneous needlework. Each entry will be judged and first, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in each category. The public is invited to vote for their favorite quilt. The quilt receiving the most votes will be awarded a handmade quilt rack donated by Clay County Bank. So make the last stitches in your entry. Your entry will be wonderful to see.
Sponsors for the Quilt and Needlework Show are The Fabric and Gift Shop, Clay County Bank, and Bickmore Tire.
Entry forms will be available at The Fabric and Gift Shop, The Clay County Library, at the time of regulation or online at www.claygoldendeliciousfestival.com
