The CCHS wrestling team participated in one of the biggest tournaments in the state – The West Virginia National Guard Duals held at the Raleigh County Armory.  If you love wrestling, some of the best AAA and AA schools on the east coast come and put on a fantastic show for wrestling fans.  The CCHS team, with only eight members, went into the tournament and made themselves known throughout the auditorium as some of the best.   The CCHS team started out 30 points down because of a lack of wrestlers, but that doesn’t deter the fact that when the boys hit the mat, they are some of the toughest and are consistent winners.  Through ten matches, Brandon White went undefeated at 195lbs and Austin Dobbins and Ryan Stewart lost one each.  In head to head matches pitting a team of eight against a team of eight they would be tough to beat. However that scenario was not the case.  The Panthers will be in action once again this weekend at Braxton for the Braxton County Invitational.  If you want to see some great wrestling, it will be this weekend.  The Bob Stover Classic, named in honor of legendary wrestling coach Bob Stover, will be held on January the 30th beginning at 10:00 AM. It is the only time the Panther wrestling team will be at home.  Come out and support the team.
