On August 6th, 2026, the Golden Delicious Festival committee met and voted on our new 2026 Golden Delicious Belle. There were 6 nominations this year, and it is with great pleasure to announce our 2026 Belle, Mrs. Carole Pierson, at age 79. Carole was nominated by her granddaughter, Summer Pierson Lamb.
Carole is from Clay, WV and has been a lifelong resident of Clay County. She is most deserving to serve as our Golden Delicious Belle.
Carole was born July 20, 1947, in Fairmont, WV. Carole is the daughter of Susie Twyman Bosley & Robert Warren Bosley.
She was a graduate of Elyria High School, Elyria, Ohio.
Moved to Clay County in 1973 where she raised 3 children: Sissy, Jody & Jake. Today she is known well as Mamaw Carole! 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Carole started working at the Clay County Courthouse Assessors Office in 1991 and retired in 2005 with 14 years of service. In 2017 she returned to the Assessor’s office and at age 79 still working part time to help out.
Carole is a born again Christian & a member of the Horner’s Fork Missionary Baptist Church, in Procious, WV. She loves to read her bible and her favorite scripture verse is :
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Carole is most deserving! Congratulations Mamaw Carole as our New 2026 Golden Delicious Apple Belle.
