Well, volleyball fans the Lady Panther team has started the season off with a big win at home.  Roane County and Gilmer County, both generally powerhouses in the sport of volleyball, went down in flames.  The Lady Panthers’ cannons were loaded, and they fired the kill shots.  They then travelled to Braxton to take on the Lady Eagles and the Calhoun Lady Red Devils.  The Lady Panthers took it to Braxton by dropping some bombs and not making mistakes.  However, the Red Devils were not willing to go down easy.  The Red Devils took the first game, and the Lady Panthers were playing catch up.  The Lady Panthers won the next two games, but it wasn’t easy; they made a few more mistakes, and the wins were tough.

With that attitude adjustment, the girls were on the road in Doddridge County where they split the difference with the competition winning 2 and losing 2.  The Lady Panthers, with a record of 10-3, will stay on the road until the 14th of October when their jet will land back in Clay County to play host to Calhoun County.  Check your schedules for a game near you.  The Ladies are primed to be a championship team, and as long as the mistakes stay off the court, this will be a notable year.
