The Clay County Golden Delicious Festival is seeking help with many facets of the 41st annual event.  Volunteers perform most of the work needed during the year with planning and fundraising and it takes hundreds of volunteer hours to work out all the details for each portion of the festival’s four-day schedule.  The Board of Directors would like to invite local business owners to provide contract proposals for the following areas:  Janitorial.  Proposals must be received by August 15th by U.S.P.S. Mail to C.C.G.D.F. Contracts, PO BOX 416, Clay, WV  25043. It should be noted that the festival runs events  approximately 40 hours over the four-day weekend September 18th through Sept 21st, 2014.

Festival Janitorial includes event area clean-up September 18th through September 21st, 2014. Bug spray, trash bags, gloves, trash cans, and a dumpster will be provided by the festival.   Festival event areas must be cleaned daily including after closing each night and the individual/team must be available Saturday from 11:00 a.m. through  4:00 p.m. and provide spot-checks throughout each evening.    The contractor must have a valid driver’s license and provide their own vehicle (equipment and insurance) to collect, lift and haul trash bags to the dumpster/s, must clean all portable public restrooms (6) daily; must pick-up and haul all public trash from the festival grounds and trash cans.
