As always, this is a rival game, and the action proved it was nothing short of another great game. The Lady Grizzlies beat the Lady Panthers twice in the regular season play.

Like the great Daniel Boone once said, “Don’t try to eat a bear before ya kill it.” The Lady Panthers came into the game ready to play and literally killed any chance for the Lady Grizzlies having a three-peat. It was fast paced, and the Lady Panther defense was second to none. Their offense ran the courts and scored almost at will. It was as if they were loaded with gunpowder and lightning hit the fuse.

When the smoke cleared, the Lady Panthers beat the Lady Grizzlies by 30 points, making the final score Lady Panthers 60, Lady Grizzlies 30. The Lady Panthers travelled to Lewis County after that for the LKC Sectional Championship, but Lewis County proved to be too much. In the end,  the Lady Panthers lost by the score of 61-69. The ladies will be back in action this coming Wednesday night as they begin the regional tournament at Shinnston. They will take on Lincoln, and a win here means they move on. If they lose, it will be the end of their season.

Good luck Lady Panthers!
