Lady Panthers have a rough week.

pic5 pic6The Lady Panthers were in action at home this past week as well as on the road.  They hosted the Lady Grizzlies of Nicholas County and the Lady Huskies of Hoover.  The Lady Panther seemed to have no problems with the Lady Grizzlies and beat them in two straight games.  However, it was the Lady Huskies up next, and it was to be a different game.  The Lady Panthers are a great team, but sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce in their court. They played hard, but mistakes plagued the girls.  Call it the Hoover Hex or whatever, the Lady Panthers played but they just weren’t good enough this night and went down in defeat to the Lady Huskies.  It is a hard pill to swallow, for sure.  The Lady Panthers went on the road to Calhoun still trying to work out the bugs in their rotation and managed to get two wins at the tri match, important wins seeing that they were LKC games.  They travelled to Charleston Catholic for tournament play and did not fare to well, losing once again to Hoover and Wirt and were eliminated in the tournament.  The Ladies, for some reason, couldn’t get their game together this week at least at the level they are known for playing.  The Ladies have just four more meetings before the LKC Final Four, followed by Sectionals, Regionals and then States.  In order to continue this season, the Lady Panthers will have to bring some big game to the court.  They have the talent to potentially become state champions, but mistakes will have to stay at the house.  Congratulations to Emily Wynn for earning the All Tournament award at Charleston Catholic.  Good luck to the Lady Panthers; go and rock the house this week!
