Shirley Ann Canter

Widen, WV – Shirley Ann Canter, 70 of Widen died Friday, October 2, 2015 in the CAMC General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Elizabeth Goldie Rogers Nicholas and was born at Swandale May 30, 1945. She was also preceded in death by her husband Abner Canter, son John and two daughters Nancy Canter and Carolyn Williams.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are 3 sons: William (Connie) Canter, of Walkersville; James (Melanie) Canter, Clay; Edward Canter, Widen; 3 daughters: Margaret (Daniel) Thomas, Swandale, Peggy (Ernest) Duffield, Widen and Audrey (Woodrow) Cutlip, Duck; a brother, Lynard Nicholas and sister, Phyllis Holcomb; 12 grand-children and 22 great grand-children.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday October 6, 2015 in the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville with Rev. Freddie Schoolcraft officiating. Burial followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at Strange Creek.E-Condolences: watersfuneralchapel@frontier.com
