There is no doubt that the CCMS volleyball teams, from the JV to the Varsity, bring all they have to the court when they play.  At the beginning of the week, they travelled to both Ravenswood and Geary giving them each a roasting on their own turf.

They defeated Geary in two straight games by the scores of 25-19 and 25-19.   They then travelled to Ravenswood where it took three games, but the Lady Mustangs came out on top by the scores of 25-13, 22-25 and 25-13.  The Lady Mustangs were at home against the Lady Knights of Braxton Middle later in the week.  The Mustang JV team took to the court and defeated the Lady Knights JV in two straight games 25-17 and 25-21.  Varsity came out pumped up and ready to join the JV in the winner’s circle.  Fans seemed to come alive and the decibel levels went into eardrum bursting excitement.

The Varsity team did not disappoint the fans at all; they played like a team bent on taking on anybody and taking them down.  The Lady Knights never stood a chance as Lady Mustang Varsity went to work and took them down in two straight games 25-14 and 25-6.   The Lady Mustangs came out smelling like a new volleyball.  Congratulations to Coach Danielle Champ and Assistant Coach Alicia Johnson for doing some incredible coaching to get the girls into championship form.  If you get the opportunity and want to see some great volleyball action, go to a Mustang game; you won’t be disappointed.
