On Thursday morning, the West Virginia State Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call at Rush Fork Road. Upon arrival, Trooper Brian Young spoke with a female who lived at the residence. The female victim advised that 68 year old Michael Darius, Jr. had assaulted her then fled the residence. While making the domestic complaint, the female also advised that Mr. Darius had explosive materials used to make pipe bombs stored inside the home. Trooper Young secured the scene and called for the assistance of the West Virginia State Police Explosives Response Team who were able to successfully remove the explosives from the home. On Friday, Michael Darius, Jr. was located and arrested for domestic battery and possession of explosives without a permit. He was arraigned and released on bond.
