By Lee Roy Anderson

But he that lacketh these things is blind and cannot see afar off and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 2 Peter 1:9.

Man can be blinded not only physically but he can be blinded spiritually well. Spiritual is much worse than physical blindness. 2 Peter 2:20-22, says for if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and savior Jesus Christ they are again entangled there in and overcome the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than after they have known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to his own vomit again and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Hebrews 6:5-6 says and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away to renew them again unto repentance seeing they crucify to themselves the son of God a fresh and put him to an open shame.

Review, Matthew 12:43-45 and Luke 9:62. Those who teach we are under grace and therefore allowed to live any way and every way choosing any lifestyle they desire, should read Titus 2:11-12. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world. We are not saved by works but by grace. Titus 3:5 and Ephesians 2:10. Salvation is received apart from works, however works is a part of the salvation received. Someone may call this legalistic or salvation by works teaching and claim it is contrary to salvation by grace doctrine. But Paul the apostle of Grace who repeatedly emphasized the face that one cannot constantly to live in sin. Romans 6:1-2. Ephesians 5:5-8 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

It is easy for one to set up his own laws and moral standards of right and wrong but God’s law has already done this and the Bible says, For whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all. James 2:10 The law not meant to save us but to show us our guilt and our need of salvation in Christ. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith Gal. 3:24.

You cannot live wrong and die right. The Bible is the word of God. And the book lives on.
