By Quindora Dobbin

A very poor homeless man lived the best he could. He was indeed poor but not in spirit. He went about always talking to himself, However; few knew that he was praying. He entered into a situation that was no fault of his own because his government turned communist therefore all Holy Bibles were confiscated and burned. Those who had Holy Bibles were severely punished.

The poor man had lost his Holy Bible in a street raid and was beaten then released. Several months afterward he prayed that God would somehow send him a Holy Bible because he longed for the spiritual strength it brought by simply reading it’s precious words.

One day as he walked by the river’s edge he saw many leaves floating by on the top of the water and as he took a closer look several had writing on them. Then as he looked even closer he realized the writing was scripture.

He sat there for a very long time reading then discarding the leaves. After he read each one the scriptures would simply disappear. The last one he read was Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
