God Sent Judges

By Lee Roy Anderson

The people served the Lord during the days of Joshua and during the days of the elders that outlived him Judges 2:7. There after they forsake the Lord and followed other gods, of the people that were found them. They provoked the Lord to anger and he delivered them to the spoilers to their enemies. Verses 10-15, God sent Judges. When the people cried to the Lord in their troubles, He raised up judges who delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them. Verse 16, Then the land had rest of those that spoiled them. But again they sinned and again this same cycle was repeated, verses 17-19. The Lord did not drive out the nations which Joshua left when he died. God left them there to test Israel whether they would keep the way of the Lord to walk there in or not, verse 22, God is faithful and merciful. He sent judges to deliver Israel when they cried unto him and repented. God gave Jesus, his only begotten son. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3:16.

God will deliver whosoever will believe in Jesus from the spoilers from Satan and false gods. They will live with Jesus forever. Beware of the spoilers, Satan, and the gods that are round you, the cults, worldly pleasures, drugs, the bars, come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you, 2nd Cor 6:17. Yes, there are two sides to every question just as there are two sides to a sheet of fly paper but it makes a big difference to a fly which side he is on. Remember, may your troubles be less, your blessings more and may nothing but happiness come through your door.
