Oak Hill, WV – Walter W. Stephenson, 85, of Oak Hill, entered into rest Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
Born June 14, 1929 in Clay, he was the son of the late Byron and Bessie Stephenson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Libby Thomas and his second wife Ruth Stephenson, brothers, Hub, Martin and Ralph Stephenson, sisters, Agnes Whaling, Mavis Knotts and Elizabeth Hathaway.
He was in the Army for 20 years and serviced two terms in the Vietnam war and was retired from Walker Machinery.
Walter is survived by step-daughter, Louella (Allen) Carte, Marilyn (Keith) Feazell, granddaughters, Amanda (Philip) Kees and Tammy Carte, great-grandson, Wyatt Kees, Charlie Kees and Hunter Carte, three special buddies, Clara, Thad and Jacob Brown. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Clay Memorial Gardens.
