Sharon M. Nichols, age 78, of Beavercreek passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017 with her husband of 59 years, Arthur, by her side. Sharon was born in Ivydale, West Virginia to Arnold and Ella (Smith) Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as brothers Larry Ramsey and Donald Ramsey. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, four sons Arthur David (Beth) Nichols of Wesley Chapel, FL; Roger (Celeste) Nichols of Newark, OH; Kelvin (Phyllis) Nichols of Gahanna, OH; and Larry (Angela) Nichols of Beavercreek, OH. Sharon had 10 grandchildren: Christopher, Emily, Stephanie, Matthew, Logan, Hayden, Benjamin, Evan, Harrison, and Mei-Lynn, and two great-grandchildren, Max and Jett. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Baird of Duck, WV; and brothers, Paul (Cheryl) Ramsey of Scottsdale, PA; Randy (Betty) Ramsey and Sam Ramsey both of Ivydale, WV; Rick (Linda) Ramsey of Millersburg, PA. Sharon graduated from Clay County High School, class of 1958. In addition to being a dedicated wife, and mother, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several companies and Universities over the years.

She loved serving in her local church, especially with the Bus ministries. Bringing children to church to learn about Jesus, and other bible stories, brought her true joy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering. Together with Arthur, Sharon was a part of planting, and is a charter member, of 3 churches, including Sharon Woods Baptist Church in Columbus, OH, Westerville Baptist Church in Westerville OH, and Arrowbrook Baptist Church in Xenia, OH. There were two things you could always count on at Sharon’s house: cookies, and biscuits. Her home was always open for fellowship and get togethers for family and friends. She loved to cook big meals for people, and there was nothing like Sharon’s breakfasts.

The family will received friends on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Kettering, Dayton, OH. A graveside service was held Friday, November 10, at the Ramsey Family Cemetery in Ivydale, WV. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the following organizations: Alzheimer’s Association/Miami Valley Chapter or Hospice of the Miami Valley.
