Rodney David King

West Salem, OH — Rodney David King, 69 of West Salem, OH, died Tuesday May 2, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 27, 1948,  in Clay, the son of Henry and Adeline (Paxton) King. He served in U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his children, David (Carrie) King of Nashville, TN, Carley King of Portland, OR, and Ariel King of The Netherlands; sisters, Charlotte Deer of Locust Grove, VA, and Joyce (Wayne) Anderson, of Duck, WV; and a brother, Henry (Victoria) King of Rittman, OH.

He will be sadly missed  by many nieces and nephews and his “Little  People” in North Carolina. He was preceded in death  by his parents, Henry and Adeline  (Paxton) King; and brothers, James Harris King, Van Cordell  King, Sam Paxton  King, and Clay Elmore King; and sisters, Mitchella Price, Vemetta King and Wavie King.

Matteson Funeral  Home in West Salem is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at mattesonfh.com

A Memorial  Service  will be held at the Moore Fork Cemetery on Osie Road Duck, WV, on May 28 at 1 p.m.
