Pearl Rogers Legg

Pearl Legg 001 OBITIndore, WV – Pearl Rogers Legg, 90, of Indore, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 following a long illness.
She was the daughter, of the late William and Annie Rogers and was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Legg; brothers, Norvel and Charles Rogers and 4 other siblings.
Pearl was Christian, a loving mother and friend. She was a member of the VFW Post 4419 Auxiliary, Clay Women’s Club and Dixie Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her 4 children, Rodney Legg of Indore, Walter Scott, Jr. and Terrie Legg of Clay, Penny and David Woods of Lizemores and Evie and David Preast of Jodie; grandchildren, Jennifer (Woods) and Douglas Hamilton of Lewisburg, Jessica Woods and fiancé Joshua Evans of Charlton Heights, Lindsay (Legg) and Pat Schoolcraft of Procious and Joshua Scott Preast of Jodie; great-grandchildren, Katie and Carter Hamilton, Roxanna Schoolcraft and baby boy Schoolcraft due to arrive in February. She is also survived by her 90 year old cousin (but like a sister) Irene Polito of Millersburg, OH and a dear faithful friend Sonjie Brown of Indore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Revs. Herbert Vance, Edward Jarrett and Dennis Preast presiding. Burial will be in the Cline-Legg Cemetery, Indore.
Friends called from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lizemores Volunteer Fire Department, 13175 Clay Highway, Lizemores, WV 25125.
