Kathleen “Kack” Tanner

Bickmore, WV – Kathleen “Kack” Tanner, 83, of Bickmore, entered into rest Tuesday, October 8, 2013.
Born January 21, 1930 in Clay, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Nichols) Stewart. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Odie Tanner Jr.; brother, Junior Stewart; sisters, Judy Holman, Evelyn Jefferies and beloved granddaughter Misty “Mip” Jones.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, Gary Tanner of Sycamore, Jerry Tanner of Bickmore, Joseph Tanner of Summersville; daughters, Jean Bartley of San Antonia, TX, Janet Fitzwater and Julie Tanner both of Bickmore, Sandra Knopp of Clay; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; brothers, Douglas Stewart of Antigo, WI., Denver Stewart of Racine WI; sisters, Anna Fugate of Oak Hill, Emma Lanham of Kimberly, Betty Matec and Daphne Holcomb both of Elyria, OH, Roberta Daniels of Kincaid and many nieces and nephews that she cherished.
Family and friends called from 12:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013 with a eulogy beginning at 2:30 P.M. at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay. Funeral procession left at 3:00 going to Tanner Cemetery, Beechy Ridge.
