Patricia Ann (Caldwell) Bates

Charleston, WV – Patricia Ann (Caldwell) Bates, 75, of Swiss, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.
Born October 24, 1938 in Swiss, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Gilbert) Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bates; son, Terrance Caldwell and siblings, Richard Caldwell and Helen Bailey.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, William Bates (Rebecca Holcomb) of Swiss and her daughter, Vivian (Larry) Carroll of Swiss; four grandchildren, Kristen Kise, Adam Caldwell, Jacob Bates and Brittany Bates; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Caldwell and Wyatt Davenport; and a brother, Daniel Caldwell of Ravenswood.
Per her request, Patricia will be cremated.
A memorial service for family and friends took place 3 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with the Reverend Dennis Preast officiating.
