Michelle Denise Belt

Clay, WV – Michelle Denise Belt, 46, of Clay, entered into rest Monday, February 16, 2015 at her home.

Born December 6, 1968, in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of Jack and Sue (Loggins) Cook of Lewisburg.

She was a 1987 graduate of Herbert Hoover High School, a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church, loved being a nurse and crafting with her mom and her aunt Mary Jo.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 28 years Keith Belt of Clay, son and daughter-in-law, Jami and Jocelyn Belt of Clay, her grandson, Nolan, brother, CJ Cook and wife Betsy, and their children Abby, Lena and Joey of California, grandmothers, Irene Loggins of Piney Creek, N.C. and Phyllis P. Cook of Lewisburg, uncle, Roger and his wife Mary Cook, aunt, Martha Loggins.

She loved her nephews and nieces and her special friends, Jessica Given and Janine Potasnik.

Funeral service was held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Ministers Wayne Smith and Don Smith officiating. Burial was in the Belt Cemetery, Dog Run.

Friends called from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to St. Jude.
