James Everett Vaughan, Jr.

James Everett Vaughan Jr. 72, of Clay, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House.
Born March 21, 1941 in Charleston, he was the son of the late James and Gertie Belcher Vaughan. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brothers, Eldis, Dallas, Harry and Sonny and sisters, Olive Shearer, Maxine Donohue and Dorla Truman.
He was a Christian and a member of Fairview Baptist temple, an Army Veteran and a retired laborer.
James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elva Pierson Vaughan of Clay, son, David Vaughan of San Antonio, TX, daughters, Tina (David) Goode of Maysel and Debbie (Jason) Looney of Clendenin, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Fairview Baptist Temple, Clay with Ministers Dennis Legg and Brett Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback with Military Graveside Rites conducted by VFW Post 4419 Clay.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please send donation to the Hubbard Hospice House 1001 Kennawa Dr. Charleston, WV 25311.
