Hazel Gibson

Charleston, WV – Hazel Gibson, 92, of Charleston, WV went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 13, 2013 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was born in Dille, WV on September 7, 1921 to the late Haymond & Elma Carte Adkins.
Hazel was a homemaker, a member of Big Union Baptist Church, Dille, and a 1938 graduate of Widen High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jenner Gibson, son, Herlman “Herbie” Gibson.
Hazel is survived by her son, Earl Gibson & wife Teresa of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughters, Patsy Morris & husband Presley of Millwood, WV, daughter in law Deborah Gibson, Jane Barfield of Charleston, Mildred Wenzel of Henderson, NV, sister, Hollene “Tootsie” Morris of Dille, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Strange Creek, WV with Rev. Jimmy Adkins and Rev. Danny Richardson officiating. Friends called one hour prior to the service at the church.
Family suggest donations be made to: Hubbard Hospice House, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W. Charleston, WV 25213.
