Eva Jane Adkins Thomas, 80, of Hartland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Sarah Ethel Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her son, Jim Moore, Jr. and her daughters, Melody Adkins and Margaret Moore; granddaughter, Allie Moore; brothers, Donald Adkins and Kenneth Adkins; sister, Sue Workman. 

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 45 years, Steve Thomas; daughter, Sally Morton and her husband, Elbert; son, Brian Moore and his wife Rene’; granddaughter, Abbie Boggs and her husband, Bailey Boggs; great grandson, Tatum Boggs; brother, Ronald Adkins of Texas; sister, Linda Boggs of Indiana and Lois Asbury of Dog Run. Eva also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and as well as some special kids that she considered as her own.

She was a member of the Clay Community Church. Eva leaves behind a beautiful Christian testimony. 

Following Eva’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Reed Cemetery, Clay, WV, with Pastor Wayne Litton officiating the ceremony.
