Dana had a caring, giving, compassionate and selfless heart. During his time here he served on both the Rand and Clay County volunteer fire departments. He donated a lot of time to working as a volunteer at several charities in the community.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Diamond Baptist Church, Diamond, with the Rev. Rick Pursley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent in Dana’s name to the American Cancer Society, 301 RHL Blvd #6, South Charleston, WV 25309 or the American Epilepsy Research Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Landover, MD 20785.
