Barbara Rae Welch

lay — Barbara Rae Welch, 64, of Clay, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Born July 22, 1952, in Marietta, OH, she was the daughter of the Arlene (Duffield) Johnson of Marietta and late Charles Ray Friend.

In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her husband, John Welch of Clay; sons, William and Joshua Gray, both of Texas; daughters, Ruthie Jett of Marietta, and Mary Albertson and Margaret Welch, both of Clay; nine grandchildren; five great -grandchildren; and sisters, Brenda Hernandez of Florida, and Beverly Bansemer of Ohio.

Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay. Burial followed in the Duffield Cemetery, Duck.

Friends gathered with family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
