The ashes of Hubert and Jean Greathouse, both originally of Ivydale WV, were laid to rest in peace June 6, 2015, approximately one year past their deaths.
Hubert H. Greathouse, (died July 26, 2014 of CHF after a short stay at Delaware Hospice, in Milford Delaware) and was laid to rest, in a concrete vault marked by a handsome flat World War II veteran’s plaque, just inches to the right of his birth mother’s tombstone at the Stockwell Cemetery per his spoken request.
Thelma Jean Wallace Greathouse, (died peacefully May 16, 2014 of Alzheimer in her home in Milford DE), was laid to rest in peace, in a matching concrete vault marked by a flat plaque, just inches to the right of her own birth mother’s tombstone at Wallace Cemetery as per her request and agreement of her sisters.
Regretfully, there was not a formal ceremony planned, but at the burial, Psalms 23 was read over each grave and a prayer of praise was sent up for the lives of Hubert and Jean, married 65yrs, who were survived by six adult children.
