The Town of Clay became a little brighter this week when volunteers added beautiful floral displays along the streets. The flowers were homegrown at Sizemore’s Greenhouse and planted in baskets purchased by the CAEZ by volunteers and members of the classes at Valley Fork. Anne Huddleston and Jeanine Burdette, active participants in the “What’s Next, Clay County?” group donated their time and efforts to arrange and hang flower baskets on alternating power poles along Main Street in downtown Clay. The colorful annuals are a welcome sight for those passing through the town.
