Sam Samples Cemetery at Procious is still in need of donations as there has been little response after several weeks of advertising. Those of us with relatives and loved ones in the cemetery have a collective responsibility to maintain grounds including mowing and weed eating, tree trimming, etc. There are a faithful few who send donations but this is not sufficient to cover maintenance. Please send donations to Loretta Samples Moore 5008 Pequonia Drive, Elkview, WV 25071 or call 304-965-5704 for more information.

If you are a foreign combat veteran interested in helping make the community we live in a better place, then the VFW is the organization that you are looking for. The VFW is now in need of the younger generation of combat veterans to start taking the reins of the organization. It is a very rewarding brother/sister hood if you are willing to put some time into some of the projects the post is involved in. We look forward to seeing you at the post hall. Meeting times are the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 1900. Persons interested in more information can email sgtmajjjones@gmail.com or call 304-587-4729 Commander Jack Jones.
