The Clay County Health Department will be closed Nov. 24 and 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The AARP Drivers Safety program has announced a refresher AARP Safe driving Class scheduled for Friday, Dec. 9, at the Braxton County Senior Center. The class will be from 12-4 p.m. The cost of the class is $15 for AARP members or $20 for non-members. Class members will receive a certificate to use as proof of completion of the class. Most auto insurance companies will allow a multi-year discount for drivers who have completed the class. Lunch is served at the Senior Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to come and enjoy lunch before the class. To pre-register for the class, call the Senior Center at 304-765-4090 or the instructor at 304 364-5535. You may attend without pre-registering if space is available on the day of the class.
