AARP Driver Safety Course at Wallback and Minnora for drivers age 50 and up is being offered at the Valley Fork Center, Wallback and at the West Fork Senior Center, Minnora.
At the former Valley Fork Elementary School, A four hour refresher course will be held Tuesday, October 29, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This course is for those who need to renew their certification and have completed the full 8-hr. course within the last three years.
Thursday, November 14, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 8-hr. full course will be held. This course is for those who have never taken an AARP Driver Safety Course or have not had a course within the last three years. There will be a 30-minute lunch break. Bring your own lunch.
At the West Fork Senior Center, Minnora: Wednesday, October 30, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a four hour refresher course. This course is for those who need to renew their certification and have completed the full 8-hr. course within the last three years. Wednesday, November 6, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is the 8 hr. full course. This course is for those who have never taken an AARP Driver Safety Course or have not had a course within the last three years. There will be a 30-minute lunch break. Bring your own lunch.
Completion of the course may qualify for an auto insurance discount. Costs are $12.00 for AARP members, $14.00 for non-AARP members. No testing or driving is involved. Certification is valid for 3 years. You do not need to be an AARP member or have “AARP” Insurance to participate in this and refresh your driving knowledge.
