We are alive and well as your local Veterans’ Organization and we want YOU to join our membership.  We encourage you to attend one of our meetings coming soon.

A VFW $45 one-year membership is FREE to all who qualify!

Clay VFW Post 4419 is seeking recipients of the following medals:  Kosovo Campaign Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and more proving you qualify to join Clay VFW Post 4419! Please come and join your local VFW Organization open to all men and women qualified as a Veteran of a Foreign War. Please bring your DD214 for proof of eligibility to join with us.

What have we done over the years?

Post 4419 replaces flags at all Clay County Schools, and we supply the American flag you pledge at football games. Flags are also supplied to the Big Otter nursing home, and before COVID-19 we visited that facility.  Post 4419 purchased all the American flags seen on power poles throughout downtown Clay. Post 4419 has performed graveside services for veterans (Needed:  individuals to do the service). Post 4419 gives out poppies at different times throughout the year. Post 4419 has been attending all Clay County Schools’ Veteran Programs.  Post 4419 has presented the American flag program at the schools to better appreciate our patriotism! Post 4419 has done flag ceremonies at the Clay County courthouse, and raised the flag at the Golden Delicious Festival each year.  We lost our CCHS location, and records in the flood of 2016. The Clay Senior Center and Nutrition Program building was our last meeting location.

Please contact Clay VFW Post 4419 Quartermaster Jim Lennox at 304-587-4894.
