With just some baking soda, a water bottle, vinegar, and a balloon, students learned a lot about reactions between acids and bases. The reaction between the vinegar and the baking soda creates carbon dioxide, which inflates the balloon.
Toothpicks and miniature marshmallows provide ample opportunity for creative engineering designs. Designs are also edible!
