Reverse Christmas Parade Brings Cheer to Clay County Children

Last weekend, the Reverse Christmas Parade in town was a huge success.  Deliciously Vivid, with the help of local businesses and individuals, handed out goodies to over 120 little ones with zero complaints.  Long lines were to be expected, but children waited patiently and enjoyed the evening.

Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with the kids during the reverse parade.

Clay County Bank President Greg Gency dressed up as an elf and handed out candy, along with Small Town Tobacco and Main Street Tee’s.  The Clay County Volunteer Fire Department set up the fire trucks and had blow-ups at the old IGA lot.  Participants circled around the courthouse, with the first stop being the one and only Santa and Mrs. Claus, where kids received bags of candy, candy canes, gloves and toboggans.

The IGA parking lot was filled with holly and jolly inflatables and decorations.

When the circle was complete Santa handed out a gift to each kid, purchased by Deliciously Vivid.  The Clay County Mud Runners and Cassie Boggs warmed them up with hot chocolate to enjoy on their way home.  Every kid left with a gift, candy, and a smile on their face.  Thank you Deliciously Vivid for your continued dedication to Clay County!
