Nikki crosses the finish line at the Track and Field Championship held in Gulf Shores, AL.

Ivy Nichole “Nikki” Aleshire, of Bickmore, capped her college career by earning an All-American status.

Running for the NAIA WVU Tech Golden Bears, Nikki qualified for the Track and Field Championships which are held in Gulf Shores, AL.

During her college career, Nikki earned many awards. She was named 1st at the Team River States Conferences, 1st team in 2016 and 2017, 2016 Tech Most Valuable, earning 1st Place in the Akron half marathon, 1st place (female age 19-24) at the San Antonio Marathon, and named the 2017 Track and Field Athlete of the year for WVU Tech. All this leading to her 8th place finish in the NAIA Track and Field Championships thus earning her the coveted – All American Track and Field Honor.

Nikki a 2013 graduate from Clay County High School, and accomplished these feats while earning a nursing degree and maintaining a 3.9 average GPA. This also earned her a second honor; she was named academic All-American Scholar and Athlete! She is a proud holder of two All-American titles, now that’s Clay County Proud!

Nikki graduated from WVU Tech, cum laude, with a nursing degree (RN), and began work on July 18 at Charleston General in Charleston, WV.

We would be remiss if we did not thank all of her supporters, especially Dave Fields who took her under his wings and has become a great inspiration in her life. Thank you to Coach Cox and Coach Bloom of WVU Tech for your untiring efforts.

Ivy “Nikki” Aleshire is the daughter of Rodney and Linda Aleshire of Bickmore.

Finally and most importantly, Nikki wishes to praise God for guiding her through all of this and gives him the glory for all she has attained.
