There was perfect weather on Apr. 22 and 23 for the second annual “Make Clay County Shine” Highway Cleanup Days. Volunteers collected a total of 325 bags of trash and 10 tires from our highways on Rt. 4, 16, and 36.
Thanks to all the volunteers and Clay County High School students who made this cleanup project a big success. Thanks as well to the Town of Clay, Mayor Jason Hubbard and crew for all the pickup removal of the trash bags and tires.
This project was sponsored by, Clay County BDA, Clay County Health Department, Clay County Assessor’s office, Clay County Commission, Clay County Board of Education, Clay Family Support Center, CMI 2 Civil-Military Innovation, Clay County Solid Waste Authority, and WV Clay Department of Highways.
