Football wasn’t the only game on the field Friday night. It was time for local royalty to wade through the wet field in all their glory. With the threat of bad weather on the horizon and umbrellas at hand, the half time festivities at the homecoming game went off without a hitch. Yep, you guessed it was queen’s night and time to crown the new football homecoming queen of CCHS. The CCHS band and the CCHS cheerleaders lined up in formation to welcome the new queen to the field to the applause of cheering fans. The new queen,Emily Runion, along with her court, graced the football field and with enthusiasm accepted the crown as CCHS principal Melinda Issacs placed it on her head. She will no doubt be a queen that represents the school well. Her escort,Mitchell Moore, held the responsibility of being the queen’s bodyguard as she strode across the field with confidence and beauty. Congratulations to Queen Runion and the rest of her court. The court included Freshman PrincessLori Ray escorted by IssacCayton, Sophomore Princess Emily Morton escorted by Eli Osborne, Junior Princess Haley Jones escorted by Zach Wynn, and Senior Princess Lydia Schoolcraft escorted by Alex Taylor. They all represented the school and their families splendidly. Once again, congratulations to the queen and her court.
