Elk River DAR holds celebration

The Elk River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized June 9, 1972 in Gassaway, WV. The current members gathered this summer to celebrate the chapter’s 50th anniversary which included a luncheon, awards, entertainment and gifts. The chapter’s only living charter member is Patricia “Trish” Hall Moore. She plus 19 members attended the celebration.  The DAR is a service organization emphasizing patriotism, education and historic preservation. For more information go to: www.dar.org.
