On Thursday, April 7, all elementary schools in Clay County competed to be the Elementary Spelling Bee Champion.  Each elementary school brought five competitors in the competition.

The contest lasted eight rounds and the championship word, architecture, was spelled correctly by H.E. White student Bella Dobbins. Bella was joined in the top five spellers by second place winner Brycelyn Mays (CES), third place winner Kennedy Adkins (BOE), fourth place winner Gunner Dobbins (BOE), and fifth place winner Bailey Frame (CES).

All the students who competed in the Spelling Bee were well prepared and gave a great effort.  Congratulations to Bella and HE White Elementary for winning the 2021-22 Clay County Schools Elementary Spelling Bee.
