Clay County Commission holds final 2017 meeting

Clay County Commission met on Wednesday, December 27, for their final meeting of 2017. A motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting was approved.

A motion to approve the bills and purchase orders as presented was approved. A motion to approve budget revisions for the Assessor’s office was approved. A motion to approve the “Request of Waiver of Final Settlement” for the estate of Earnest Drake, deceased, was approved. A motion to confirm probating the Last Will and Testament of Blanch McCune and the appointment of Rebecca Elmore, Executrix, was approved. A motion to confirm probating the last will and testament of Maynard Leo Lane and the appointment of Marsha Stowers, Sharon Ford, and Christie Shafer, as Co-Executors was approved. A motion to accept David Walker’s resignation as a member of the Clay Roane Public Service District Board effective December 19, 2017 was approved. A motion to approve a request from the Clay County Parks & Recreation to remove Amber Bass as a board member due to non attendance was approved. A motion to appoint Donna Salisbury as a Clay county Parks & Recreation board member for an unexpired term ending April 12, 2020 was approved. A motion to schedule 2018 Board of Review & Equalization meeting dates as follows: February 1, 6, 9, 14, 20 and 22 was approved. A motion to continue to January 2, 2018 at 10:00 am to organize year 2018 was approved.
