Advantage Home Care would like to welcome to Clay County and surrounding counties, our newest member, Amanda Morris Taylor. Amanda resides in the Lizemores area of Clay County. Amanda is the daughter of Bill and Judy Morris. She has a husband, Mark and two kids, Jimmy and Skylar. Amanda is a 1998 graduate of Clay County High School. Amanda also graduated from West Virginia University Institute of Technology with an Associate Degree in Legal Office Administration in 2001 and in 2005 she earned her Practical Nursing license from Garnet Career Center. She worked as an LPN for eight years with the elderly before returning to school to be a Registered Nurse. She graduated in May 2015 from Bridge Valley Community and Technical College with an Associate of Science in Nursing.
Amanda is excited to be working in our community with the elderly and disabled as a RN Case Manager. Amanda’s skills and knowledge is available to clients of Advantage Home Care and also any other clients with any medicaid waiver insurance. Some of the responsibilities Amanda holds in her position as a RN Case Manager are as follows: Finding out what you need, help you develop an emergency back up plan, refer and connect you with services, agencies or community resources, as well as making home visits and calls to check on your medical condition and homemaker services, etc. There are several characteristics to look for in case managers, some are as follows: works hard for you, listens to you, makes sure you receive your services on your plan, returns your phone calls and call the homemaker agency when you need it, and helps you get medical equipment or adaptations if need, as well as many more things.
Amanda is great at her job and she goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. Advantage Home Care provides assistance to the elderly and disabled to help them live safely in their homes.
