IT STARTED WITH HIS BIRTH

Widen School News
Some things that designate Christmas
Are plain to see
Like the bright lights and Santa Claus
And gifts on the Christmas tree.

But all of these things mean nothing
Without the true meaning you see—
The birth of our savior, Jesus,
Who died on far Calvary.

Many children are brought into this world
Thinking Christmas means only one thing—
To give and receive lots of gifts
And have a community sing.

They never know of the real gifts,
The frankincense, myrrh, and gold
That were brought to Him by the Three Wise Men
As in the Bible is told.

They lose sight of the meaning of Christmas—
Peace and good will on earth.
Keep each Christmas holy, and remember—
It started with His birth.

“It is far better to say, at the close of life, “I have lived,” than merely, “I am ninety.”

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.

Much is said about what Americans stand for. Equally important are the things Americans won’t stand for.

“You have not lived a perfect day, even though you have earned your money, unless you have done something for someone who will never be able to repay you.”
