Clay County High School will host the annual “Picnic in the Parking Lot,” sponsored by Northgate Baptist Church.

Come out on Thursday, July 20, at 6 p.m. and enjoy great food and fellowship for the entire family. Live music by Alan “Cathead” Johnston, a West Virginia folk singer, who is a native McDowell County mountain man, will set the stage for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Cathead and his band will make for a memorable evening. Check him out on Facebook.

Drawings will be held throughout the evening for free gifts for both youth and adults. Come out and enjoy this free community event.

Also, join them on Friday, July 21, at 7 p.m. to enjoy Jonathan Buckner and Chosen Road. You can check out more about the band at www.chosenroadmusic.com. They will round out the evening with an ice cream social.
