Music in the Mountains Bluegrass Festival

Adams Bluegrass, LLC, Promoters, announce that the 37th Annual Music in the Mountains Bluegrass Festival will take place at Summersville Music Park, on June 21, 22, 23 and 24, 2017. The four-day event begins Wednesday, June 21 at 11 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m. nightly.

Wednesday’s great lineup begins at 11 a.m. featuring The Hillbilly Gypsies, Sons of The South, The Churchmen, Tony Holt & The Wildwood Valley Boys, Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road. Dailey & Vincent Grammy nominated, winners of IBMA Entertainer for three years and newest members of The Grand Ole Opry will perform one 90-minute show at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday’s terrific lineup begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m. featuring Michael Feagan & Fiddlegrass Band, Blue Rock’n-Grass, The Farm Hands, The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, Lost & Found and The Inspirations. Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver (Winner of IBMA Gospel Recorded Performance for seven years) will perform one 90-minute show at 8:30 p.m.

Friday’s fabulous lineup of talent begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m. featuring Larry Efaw & The Bluegrass Mountaineers, Tommy Brown & Country Line Grass, Flashback, The Larry Stephenson Band, The Harris Brothers and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage (Winner of IBMA Female Vocalist eight years and Queen of Bluegrass).

Saturday’s super lineup of talent begins at 11 a.m., featuring Appalachian Express, The U.S. Navy Band, The Primitive Quartet, Nothin’ Fancy, Tennessee Mafia Jug Band and Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice.

Contact Adams Bluegrass for tickets at 706-864-7203. For camping beginning June 17 which is first come-first served, call 304-872-6853. Daily ticket prices are $45 in advance and $50 at the gate. Four day advance $130 and $150 at the gate. Three day advance $120 and $140 at the gate.

Children age 7-15 $20 per day, children under 7 free with parent. Special after 6 p.m. will be $30. Advance ticket orders must be received by June 14.

The show will be continuous music from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring the top names in bluegrass music. Please bring your lawn chairs. Hot food concessions on premises. No alcoholic beverages or pets except service animals are allowed in the concert area. This is a family show. Show goes on rain or shine. Sound by Blue Ridge Sound. Sherry Boyd, M.C.
