The aftermath of the two church fires in Clay County has community members all jumping to help. From cash donations to gospel sings, there are many ways that members of the community can reach out. There will be a gospel sing at Maysel Park on Saturday, October 23, at 1 p.m. with all proceeds going to benefit the Flat Fork and People’s Community Churches.
During the Gospel Sing there will be a silent auction, as well. If you wish to contribute an auction item you can contact Desi Facemire at 304-651-5071, or drop of items to Kelly Hamrick at the Clay County Elementary School.
Area churches are pulling together to make this event a success for these two churches that have lost so much over the past two weeks due to vandalism and arson. There will be great singing, concessions, auction items, and much more. Come out and contribute to a good cause in Clay County.
