The West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA) will sponsor a webinar for individuals and groups interested in applying for the 2014 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP). The online tutorial will be presented on February 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. using the gotowebinar format. Preregistration is required at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/9145316963121314561.

The webinar will provide participants with a general overview of the grant program including the application components, project requirements, funding priorities, eligible crops, budget allowances, competitive review process and an interactive question and answer period.

Registrants will receive confirmation and instructions on how to join the program. Interested applicants unable to attend the live session will be able to access the program without the interactive question and answer session on the WVDA website (wvagriculture.org). WVDA staff will also be available on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Small Farm Conference in Morgantown for applicants with a grant idea or in-process application. SCBGP applications are due March 14, 2014.

Webinar participants are encouraged to download the 2014 Request for Proposal, Concept Proposal form and instructions at http://www.wvagriculture.org/SCBGP)_Toolbox.html prior to the session.

For additional information, contact Marketing Specialist Melissa Beller at 304-558-2210 or mbeller@wvda.us.
