AARP Regional Drivers Safety Coordinator and Instructor, Mary Stewart, is pleased to congratulate the eight individuals who completed the AARP Driver Safety refresher course on the 24th of August 2015. Most of these individuals are from Braxton County, but a couple of them drove all the way from Clay.
If you see a family member or neighbor in the picture accompanying this article, please tell him or her you are proud of them for taking the time to refresh their driving knowledge and skills. Individuals who successfully completed this AARP refresher class were: Front row: James Turner, Marlene Turner, Helen Metz, Georgetta Knight, and Lowell Reeder. Back Row: Carol Merzouk, Charles Brady, and Gail Brady.
AARP also wishes to express appreciation to the Braxton County Senior Center for acting as sponsor for safe driving in this area.
Many local automobile insurance companies will give a discount on rates to individuals who present their “certificate of completion” to their agent.
