Dorothy Mae (Jarrett) Olson

Dorothy M. OlsonBrackettville Texas – Dorothy Mae (Jarrett) Olson, born June 1, 1934, in Sycamore Holler, WV, went to be with her Lord on January 9, 2016. Dorothy was the eighth child of James William Jarrett and Della Ann (Backus) Jarrett. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years William Eugene Olson.
Dorothy leaves behind her children William Bruce Olson II, Victoria Ann Freilich (Leonard), and David Clark Olson (Danielle); and grandchildren Adam Bruce Olson, Christina Ann Freilich, Caitlin Marie Freilich, Julia Marie Olson and Jennifer Elyse Olson. She is predeceased by eight of her nine siblings, and will be missed by her sister Pearl, a large extended family, and many dear friends.
Dorothy worked hard volunteering in each church of which she was a member. As a strong and loving Christian mother, her advice and love has been there to guide her children throughout their lives. She will be dearly missed by all.
An in state funeral service was held at noon on Saturday, January 16, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78230.
